Technical settings in Abacus

The following precautions must be taken for the connection with Abacus Financial Accounting:

1. Create a new user category in the Abacus ERP program “Q981 User administration”, e.g. with the name “AbaNinja”.

2. Create a new “Service User” in the created user category using the right mouse button.

3. On the “Create service user” page, for example create a label “NinjaBoxServiceUser” -> Next

4. Activate “AbaNinja” on the “Interface access” page -> Next

5. On the “User class” page -> Next

6. On the “Login data” page, save the client ID and the client key somewhere secure so that it can be accessed again. These two security codes are required for each AbaNinja that is to be connected to Abacus Financial Accounting in order to send documents to the “F11 Book” program in the corresponding inbox -> Next

7. On the “Application access” page, grant access for “Financial accounting” -> Next

8. Finish

9. On the user category e.g. Right-click on “AbaNinja” and open “Policy” -> “Apply template policy”.

10. On the “Template policies” page, “Full access templates client policy” and “Full access templates program policy” must be selected -> Next

11. On the “Edit client policy” page -> Next

12. On the “Access clients” page, check whether the client to be connected also exists -> Next

13. Select only financial accounting on the “Access applications” page. -> Next

14. On the “Edit program policy” page -> Next

15. On the “Access applications” page -> Next

16. On the “User categories” page, check that only the created user category, e.g. “AbaNinja” is selected. -> Next

17. Finish.

18. Open the Connections menu in the Abacus ERP program “Q908 DeepCloud Management”.

19. Activate the connection in the Ninja Box section.
