Addresses

The Address feature allows individuals without DeepBox access to upload files to an Inbox. This can be done either via an email address (Mail-to-Box) or through an upload link (Direct Upload).

This provides a simple yet secure way for partners to easily send documents to DeepBox for automated processing.

Generating Addresses

In an Advanced Box, addresses can be generated from the toolbar:

Two channels are available: upload link or email address. However, for each Address, either the upload link or the email address can be disabled. Additionally, a purpose can be defined to better organise the Addresses in the future.

Direct Upload via URL

By accessing the generated address, a secure website opens, allowing documents to be uploaded directly into the Inbox. The text from the description will be added as a comment in DeepBox.

Mail-to-Box via Email Address

This e-mail address can be used as an email recipient. The documents attached to an email are automatically uploaded into the Inbox, and the email text is added as a comment.

Tip: This email address can also be registered as the invoice recipient in DeepAdmin, allowing DeepCloud invoices to be sent directly to your box’s inbox.

Requirements

The Address feature is only available in “Advanced Boxes” and cannot be used in free “Simple Boxes.”

Additionally, only users with Admin or Owner rights can generate new addresses and manage existing ones.

Managing Addresses

Addresses can be managed in DeepAdmin under the Box settings.

The following information can be accessed:

  • Overview of all addresses
  • Email link and URL can be copied
  • The creator of the address is displayed
  • It shows when the address was last used
  • It indicates how many times the address has been used

By clicking “Edit,” the following actions can also be performed:

  • The email link or URL can be disabled
  • The purpose can be changed
  • The address can be completely deleted
